Sunday Runday Funday

In my current training plan, Sunday is a cross training day or a day for constant movement for a set period of time.

I chose to run at Preservation Park in Thompson’s Station, Tennessee. With the park only a short distance from the house, the drive was worth it.

The goal of the run was to become more comfortable with trail running since many of my weekly and long runs are on the country roads near my house.

Having completed 14 miles on Saturday, I was shooting for 7 on the trails, but with the temperature at 96 degrees, I only managed 5 miles.

The 5 mile run took 45:36 which is about a 9:07 pace. I wore my vest and carried about 30 ounces of water. The elevation ascended was 1,125 and descended was 1,227 which surprised me.
